# deleteEmailAddress()

Deletes the given email address.

Returns the [`DeletedObject`](https://clerk.com/docs/reference/backend/types/deleted-object.md) object.

function deleteEmailAddress(emailAddressId: string): Promise<DeletedObject>
```

## Parameters

| Parameter        | Type     | Description                            |
| ---------------- | -------- | -------------------------------------- |
| `emailAddressId` | `string` | The ID of the email address to delete. |
