# deletePhoneNumber()

Deletes the given phone number.

Returns the [`DeletedObject`](https://clerk.com/docs/reference/backend/types/deleted-object.md) object.

function deletePhoneNumber(phoneNumberId: string): Promise<DeletedObject>
```

## Parameters

| Parameter       | Type     | Description                           |
| --------------- | -------- | ------------------------------------- |
| `phoneNumberId` | `string` | The ID of the phone number to delete. |
