# getSession()

Retrieves a single [`Session`](https://clerk.com/docs/reference/backend/types/backend-session.md).

```

## Parameters

| Name      | Type   | Description                        |
| --------- | ------ | ---------------------------------- |
| sessionId | string | The ID of the session to retrieve. |
