Yet, integrating a complete stack of providers is infamously tedious, and builders are clamoring for a better way.

Clerk started with a simple insight: these integrations are often abstracted onto the User object, like user.subscribe() and user.email(). We imagined a service could offer a User object with the extensions built-in.

Over many iterations, we built an authentication service that was incredibly easy to use, and would enable us to extend the User object in the future.

Today, that solution manages users for over 10,000 applications, and our customers are asking for extensions every day. They want everything from billing and email, to background checks and calendar syncing.

To grow beyond authentication, we also need to grow our team. We’re eager to meet product-minded peers who share our ambition and vision!
